Our Mission
To teach and lead a community of students that speak their passion through performance.
Welcome to the Performing Arts Academy at Comeaux High School!
A Message from Dr. Gregory Robin
On behalf of the faculty of the Performing Arts Academy, welcome to our homepage. As you explore this site, you will see that our students are afforded educational and performance opportunities that rival any performing arts program in the state. Many of these opportunities come through course offerings and facilities that aren’t available in any other school in Lafayette Parish. Through our Partnering Professions program, students have the opportunity to further develop their skills by shadowing/interning/ or working with professional tech and arts admin staff in a variety of local arts venues. As you can see, this is truly a special community to be a part of.
Community is the cornerstone of what we do. We offer a safe environment for young adults to grow academically, artistically, emotionally, and socially. Our community is built and fostered through rehearsals, performances, collaborations, field trips, and just hanging out. We aren’t just the home of the performing arts; we are your 2nd home.
I encourage you to watch our testimonial video and read testimonials from students and parents. Listen to the students talk about their experiences. Listen to them talk about the community that is here. Don’t just take my word for it.
The Performing Arts Academy isn’t just a community of students. We are a community of highly passionate performing arts educators who focus on educating through the arts. Our goal isn’t just to make great performers. Our goal is to use the arts to help students develop skills that will make them successful in any career path they choose.
